WPP's like-for-like revenue growth quickens

Sorrell told the annual meeting that WPP was working towards having two-thirds of its business over the next five to 10 years outside of traditional advertising media as the cost of network television rises faster than general price inflation.

"Clients in those circumstances look for alternatives," he said, citing a surge of interest in digital media and advertising across platforms such as the Web, social networking sites, mobile phones and video games.
