Fast Food Change in Social Media Following
  • Wendy's showed had a strong performance in both Facebook and Twitter. They utilized a tried and true strategy: a contest. Users could check-in with your smartphone or tweet with hashtag #treatitforward to donate $.50 to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The smartphone check-in required users to authorize Wendy's to post check-ins on the user's timeline. Pretty nifty.
