Awareness, Inc. Exhibits at Gilbane Conference Boston
Customer Earth Knowledge to be Profiled in Gilbane Industry Report
Waltham, MA — November 16, 2021 — Awareness, Inc., the leader in enterprise social media, today announced that the company will exhibit at the Gilbane Conference Boston on November 27-29. The company also announced that Awareness customer Earth Knowledge, an environmental consulting firm, will be profiled as a case study in the Gilbane Group's upcoming report on Enterprise 2.0, collaboration and social computing.
The Gilbane conference will focus on the dramatic growth and diversity of enterprise content, and how the technologies for creating and managing it are changing IT and information management strategies to support compliant and compelling content for internal and external facing business applications. Awareness is participating in the conference to help companies better understand and leverage social media and Web 2.0 tools as means to encourage employee and customer generated content through online communities. Awareness will be exhibiting at the conference in booth 142.
The report, due out by the end of the year, will focus on key trends in the acquisition and deployment of collaboration and social computing solutions, and examine the business uses of shared workspaces, blogs, wikis, and social networks. Earth Knowledge and its online partner and customer community, powered by Awareness, will be profiled as an example of how companies can establish best practices for the implementation of enterprise social media. Earth Knowledge transformed the homepage of their Website from a traditional page, where company information was posted, into an interactive online community where timely articles about environmental issues are posted blog-style so that users can comment and discuss. In addition, Earth Knowledge rolled out other social media tools, such as wikis and RSS, along with geo-tagging, to facilitate communication and knowledge-sharing between the many organizations, businesses, and government agencies that continually interact around environmental issues.
Awareness, Inc. provides an on-demand social media platform for enterprises to deploy Web 2.0 technologies, including blogs, wikis, podcasts, RSS and social networking. Companies like McDonald's, Kodak and Northwestern Mutual use the platform to set up online communities to improve employee and customer communication and collaboration.
About Awareness
Awareness helps companies build and operate branded Web 2.0 communities. These online communities let customers, prospects, employees, or partners connect with each other and share content. At the core of the Awareness solution is an on-demand social media platform that combines the full range of Web 2.0 technologies—blogs, wikis, discussion groups, social networking, podcasts, RSS, tagging, photos, videos, mapping, etc.—with security, control, and content moderation. Awareness builds these features into complete communities for companies, or customers use the Awareness API and widgets to integrate Web 2.0 technologies into their own web properties. Major corporations such as McDonald's, Kodak, the New York Times, Northwestern Mutual, and Procter and Gamble use Awareness to build brand loyalty, generate revenue, drive new forms of marketing, improve collaboration, encourage knowledge-sharing, and build a "corporate memory."
The Awareness platform was first launched in January 2005 and now hosts hundreds of online communities. Backed by Greylock Partners and NorthBridge Venture Partners, Awareness is headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts.
