Trends and Best Practices in Adopting Web 2.0 for the Enterprise

In July we sponsored a survey by Equation Research, reviewing trends and best practices within the world of Web 2.0.

This report explores the adoption of Web 2.0 technologies and the future of social media
initiatives in 2008 and builds on the foundation of similar research conducted by Awareness in
2007. Key findings of the 2008 study include:

* Employers are starting to allow social media participation more freely in their organizations.
* Employers are finding the benefits of using social media.
* Some employers are using internal-facing social media communities to create a unique experience for employees, rather than using Facebook, MySpace or LinkedIn.
* Other employers use external-facing communities or a blend of internal and external communities.
* Employers are thinking more about how to integrate Web 2.0 technologies and are taking steps to encourage participation in online communities

I appreciate all that participated in the survey which allowed for us to complete this research.  What I would love is your feedback on the survey results and the content of the whitepaper.  Was it useful?  Do any trends surprise you?  What are the use cases of social media marketing/Web 2.0 within your company.  To download the whitepaper summarizing the survey results, click here.  Your feedback is useful as we evaluate content to sponsor in the future.  Thanks.
